Item# 88188 - Tivoli Gardens Gilt Demitasse Porcelain Coffee Set

Beautiful three piece demitasse coffee set made for use at Liberace's Tivoli Gardens Restaurant. Porcelain gilt with 22kt gold glaze and features Liberace's famous signature logo. This was part of lot #1768 in the 1988 Liberace estate sale. It was still packed in the original packaging as it was sent from Germany, brown paper wrapping stuffed with excelsior for protection. I saved the brown paper and will include it with the set as it has some markings on it. It had never been opened before I got it. These gold service items have a funny story behind them, they were made for Liberace's restaurant but never used. After receiving them they realized they had to be hand washed, not very practical for restaurant use. So off to the warehouse they went. Some were given away as gifts and perhaps sold in the Museum gift shop. This set came from Liberace's Las Vegas warehouse.
