I first became aware of this doll in 1997 when I started to research items for the site. I resisted buying one, as they usually sell for well over $100. That very popular auction Web site has been flooded with them recently, so I was able to pick this one up for $51, a real bargain. It's a bit scary don't you think? It was only produced in 1986 as part of a larger series of dolls including Lucile Ball, Mae West, W. C. Fields and George Burns. Liberace comes complete with silver lame cape and trousers, embroidered jacket with lace cuffs. Glitter shoes and matching glitter bowtie. This limited edition doll comes with a letter from Liberace with a reproduced signature. (Don't let anyone tell you this is a personally signed letter.) Of course no Liberace doll would be complete without rings!
