April 15th. The Grand Opening Of The Liberace Museum In Las Vegas, after failed attempts to open museums in Hollywood hills and Milwaukee. Crowds waited up to two hours for the event. Liberace wore one of his checkered outfits (very 70's). Since it was Easter time he served chocolate eggs and petite fours to the visitors. Liberace asked his brother George to run the Museum and start the Liberace Foundation For Creative And Performing Arts. The Liberace Foundation offers scholarships and funding for students of the arts.
